Mixed Level Yoga Classes with Dylan
Dylan’s mixed level classes are a wonderful blend of the best of Kripalu, vinyasa flow and hatha styles of yoga. They are open to all levels, are highly user-friendly and individualized as needed to help you get the most out of your yoga practice.
 
Classes flow differently depending on the needs of the participants, and begin with centering, connecting to the breath and meditation. We may warm up the body by flowing in and out of stretches, using Kripalu-style creative movement or vinyasa flows. In classes with Dylan you can expect creative variations on these flows as well as traditional sun salutations.
 
Over time when the body is warm warmed up  and your breath is integrated to movement, we will progress to sustaining the yoga poses to built strength and focus. Throughout the yoga practice, we will use breathing techniques, energetic engagements, hand positions and sacred sound to enhance the practice and your health.

After a progression of poses that strengthen, lengthen and promote balance and healing, we will rest in a restorative pose, leaving you feeling strong, relaxed, centered and fully alive at the end of your practice.
  
Gentle Yoga Classes with Dylan
Gentle yoga with Dylan offers you a unique, user-friendly opportunity to experience the best of traditional yoga with a contemporary, personal growth-oriented approach.

You will experience gentle yoga poses and flowing movement to warm up, strengthen, lengthen and heal the body. Our pace is the pace of your own body and  breath and we will rest in stretches and postures in meditative stillness for extended periods to  facilitate improved stamina & focus. Specific restorative poses are used to open the heart and lung capacity, draw us into deep relaxation and improve muscular alignment.

Breathing techniques, guided meditation, inspirational readings,sacred sound & music will deepen your experience. 
 
Chair Yoga
Dylan offers specialty chair yoga classes for people who cannot or choose not to practice yoga on the floor. These classes offer all of the benefits of traditional yoga including improved balance, strength, lung capacity, decreased pain and relaxation.  They also provide participants with information on how to enhance the performance of activities of daily living and movement efficiency. Chair yoga with Dylan utilizes yoga asanas, meditation, breathing exercises and flowing movement that can be done standing with the support of the chair or seated.
All levels and physical abilities are welcome.

Location of Classes
Dylan's classes are held at private facilities in the Rochester area, at the Jewish Community Center and at her office in Bushnell's Basin.

About Your Instructor
Dylan Mariah, RN, LMHC, MA, BS, CYT, RMT, is a Certified 200 hour Kripalu Yoga Instructor & Fitness Educator with over 20 years of experience in facilitating workshops, classes and personal growth experiences. In addition to her Kripalu training, she has practiced and studied many other approaches to yoga and meditation and incorporates them into her classes as well. She has studied with many master teachers including Baron Baptiste, Don Stapleton, Dharma Mittra, Rodney Yee, Ellen Saltonstall, Colleen Saidman & David Swenson.
